Boreal Communications
Images tell stories that might otherwise not be heard. Nowadays, we like snapping pictures to capture our very own. We use our cameras to record life’s moments, both momentous and mundane. We cherish these photos because they allow us to recreate our personal experiences. We also seek out other types of photos, ones that evoke emotions, questions and answers. For photography to elicit this collective human experience we need professionals.
In her capacity as president of Boreal Communications, a Montreal-based organization that creates and mounts public exhibits on the environment, Louise Larivière produces film documentaries, photo exhibitions and other public education material on the boreal forest and other environmental issues.
Partners
Solid partnerships have allowed this project to happen! First and foremost is our partner SAJO, an invaluable partner who has generously provided financial and in-kind support since the beginning of the project. For example, SAJO designed and built the stands that allow us to present large size format photographs. Epson Canada and Seal Graphics are also important industry members supporting the production. The Ministry of Natural Resources of Ontario is a major sponsor to the Ontario Project and the Wasaya Group has been instrumental in making the Ontario north expedition a success. And finally not the least, Harbourfront Centre has been a unique partner in finding necessary resources to present RESPECT this summer for millions to see.
